Hot Springs

Riyuegu Hotsprings is a large-scale, Southeast Asian-inspired hot spring park, built around a natural mineral hot spring source. Southeast Asian-style pavilions, landscaping, and wood and stone carvings run throughout the open-air grounds, where guests move between dozens of themed hot spring pools, with private pools at The Retreat and The Sanctuary. The outdoor Energy Bay brings together sauna and steam spaces in distinct settings, while the swimming pools add room to swim, slide, and play. Guests can also arrange a massage at The Sanctuary or pause for a meal at Moon Pavilion. As a National AAAA Tourist Attraction, Riyuegu holds China's Five-Star Hot Spring rating, the country's highest hot spring certification.

Exploring the Hot Springs

More than 400 years ago, during the Ming dynasty, a court official immersed himself in the springs and, moved by the experience, recorded this ‘heavenly gift’ on a stone plaque. The plaque was discovered in the 1980s, on the site where Riyuegu Hotsprings now stands.

Origin

Riyuegu’s hot spring water emerges from deep underground at around 82°C, a natural combination of silicic acid and chloride springs. Its levels of fluorine, strontium, and silicic acid each exceed the Medicinal Value Classification standards. Springs of this mineral profile are traditionally known as “beauty springs.”

Outdoor Hot Springs

Enjoy natural hot springs amidst lush greenery, with pools set among landscaped gardens rather than behind the walls of an indoor bathhouse. Whether under blue skies, light rain, or a blanket of stars, the open-air setting and surrounding landscape become part of the experience, changing with the season and the time of day.

Private Hot Spring Spaces

Private rooms are available at The Sanctuary and The Retreat, each giving guests a hot spring pool entirely to themselves. Rooms are self-contained and furnished like a hotel room, built around their own pool, whether indoors, outdoors, or a mix of both, with space to soak, lounge, play, or book a massage. Inside, it feels like a private world of quiet and stillness, suited to guests who want more privacy or simply a pool with no one else in it.

ADVISORY

For everyone’s safety, health, and comfort, please read the following before entering:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Guests over 70 and those with limited mobility should be accompanied by a companion.
- Children taller than 90 cm should use the changing room that matches their gender; please ask staff if you need help.
- Swimwear and slippers must be worn in the Park, and swim caps are required in some areas.
- Outside food and drinks may not be brought into the Park.
- Pets are not permitted.
- Flammable, explosive, or other dangerous or prohibited items are not allowed.
- Smoking is not permitted in the pool areas or any non-smoking zones.
- Please eat only in the designated dining areas, and place litter in the bins provided.
- Diving, rough play, loud noise, and other disturbances are not allowed.
- Please do not take photos, film, or live-stream in the changing rooms or anywhere other guests are present.
- Please do not scrub or exfoliate in the pools.
- Please do not operate the hot spring water controls without staff permission.
- Please do not enter the pools if intoxicated.
- For health reasons, guests with any of the following may not enter the pools: infectious digestive diseases (such as dysentery, typhoid, or hepatitis A or E), infectious respiratory diseases (such as tuberculosis), trachoma, acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis, otitis media, sexually transmitted infections, psychiatric conditions, cardiovascular disease, arteriosclerosis, high blood pressure, diabetes, sensitive skin or skin conditions, or any other infectious disease.
